Real Betis Preview: An excellent year

Following an impressive winter transfer window, Real Betis and Manuel Pellegrini have transformed their season as they push for a top five finish and probable UEFA Champions League qualification in the final month of the 2024/25 La Liga season.

The Andalusians come into this one on the back of hammering a Girona side that have collapsed in the last few months by three goals to one in Catalonia thanks to first-half strikes from Johnny Cardoso, Antony and Isco.

Real Valladolid Preview: A miserable season

It has been a miserable season both on and off the pitch for Real Valladolid following their automatic promotion back to the top-flight last season. Ronaldo has apparently wanted to sell the club but not engaged with offers whilst things have never been close to going on the pitch.

Valladolid, with former Mexico boss Diego Cocca still at the helm following the sacking of Paulo Pezzolano in mid-December, could be mathematically relegated as soon as this match day. They were 3-2 by Osasuna at Estadio Jose Zorrilla at the weekend.

Real Betis Team News: A few injuries

Real Betis have a few injury issues to deal with ahead of this week’s visit of Valladolid. Former Leeds United players Diego Llorente and Marc Roca are sidelined alongside the likes of Ricardo Rodriguez and Isco.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Adrian; Aitor Ruibal, Marc Bartra, Natan, Perrraud; Cardoso, Pablo Fornals; Antony, Isco, Abde Ez; Cucho

Unavailable: Diego Llorente (Injured), Angel Ortiz (Injured), Rodriguez (Injured), Marc Roca (Injured), Isco (Injured), Chimy Avila (Injured)

Real Valladolid Team News: Still no Hein

Real Valladolid do not have any fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Valladolid to deal with ahead of their trip to the Benito Villamarin this weekend but Estonia international goalkeeper Karl Hein does remain sidelined for the visitors.

Predicted XI (4-1-4-1): Ferreira; Candela, Aidoo, Javi Sanchez, Henrique; Juric; Darwin Machis, Chuki, Grillitsch, Raul Moro; Juanmi Latasa

Unavailable: Hein (Injured)

Real Betis vs Real Valladolid Prediction

Real Betis have been magnificent across all competitions over the last few months, and that has included reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League, which take place next week. They welcome a poor Valladolid side to the Benito Villamarin that are one of the weakest sides to play in La Liga for quite some time and a heavy, comfortable victory for Betis is to be expected for this one, even if they allow themselves to take their eye off the ball in Seville.

Real Betis vs Real Valladolid Tip: Real Betis to win -1 handicap
