Manuel Pellegrini’s 2025 UEFA Europa Conference League runners’ up Real Betis come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering of Real Mallorca in their most recent outing at the weekend. The Andalusians have suffered just two defeats in their 15 matches across all competitions so far this season.

They now face an Olympique Lyonnais side that are trying to be more effective under the management of Paulo Fonseca. Lyon most recently saw themselves tumble out of the top four in Ligue 1 after back-to-back domestic draws away to Paris FC, having been 3-0 up, and then against Stade Brest.

With home advantage, and the shaky recent form of Lyon as well as their own strong form, Real Betis are the team to be favoured with for this one.
