Real Betis have underperformed in UEFA competition throughout Manuel Pellegrini’s reign but they still have a chance of a top 24 finish as they now welcome Finnish champions HJK Helsinki to the Benito Villamarin in Andalusia.

Real Betis vs HJK Helsinki Prediction

Real Betis have scored just five goals and earned two wins in their five UEFA Europa Conference League matches and will slip below HJK with a defeat in the final match day of the league phase.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Andalusians have flattered to deceive in European competition in the last few years. In La Liga, they did earn a last gasp 2-1 defeat of Villarreal at El Madrigal last weekend but have still underperformed domestically this season as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table.

Finnish champions HJK Helsinki are a point outside of the top 24 ahead of the final match day as they now prepare to face Betis. They aren’t playing domestically at the moment after finishing third in the Veikkausliiga during the 2024 campaign which finished last month.

Betis have been underwhelming but the league phase gives them the chance to earn a second chance through the knockout playoff repechage and they really should still make it through.
