Rapid Vienna vs Dundee United prediction

Last season, Rapid Vienna reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League before suffering a surprise defeat to Djurgarden. The Austrians finished fifth in the Austrian Bundesliga, but managed to qualify for this tournament by winning the end of season European playoff round.

They face a Dundee United side that managed to progress into this stage of the competition with a couple of 1-0 defeats of Liechtenstein outfit Vaduz in the second qualifying round. They began their Scottish Premiership campaign with a 2-2 draw at the Falkirk Stadium against Falkirk at the weekend after taking the lead twice.

Rapid Vienna are the overwhelming favourites for this tie, and they would therefore be expected to win this first-leg with their home advantage of Vienna.
