Rangers vs Viktoria Plzen prediction

Former Southampton boss Russell Martin has already heavily criticised his players after Rangers shared a 1-1 draw with Motherwell on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season. In the second qualifying round, the Bears managed to impressively defeat Panathinaikos by three goals to one on aggregate.

They now face a Viktoria Plzen side that edged through to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate defeat of Swiss Super League side Servette. They went behind early on in the second-leg to go 2-0 down on aggregate, before turning things around, with an 87th minute winner.

Viktoria Plzen have shown they can play on the counter-attack with great effectiveness, but Rangers would have to remain as favourites for this one in Scotland’s second city.
