The first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores round of 16 tie at Estadio Campeon del Siglo in Uruguay last week, Penarol edged past Racing Club by a goal to nil with second-half substitute David Terans notching the winner in the 78th minute.
Racing Club have since suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Tigre in the Argentine Primera Division in their most recent outing at the weekend. The Argentinians have now managed just two victories in their last seven matches across all competitions.
