The first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores round of 16 tie at Estadio Campeon del Siglo in Uruguay last week, Penarol edged past Racing Club by a goal to nil with second-half substitute David Terans notching the winner in the 78th minute.

Racing Club have since suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Tigre in the Argentine Primera Division in their most recent outing at the weekend. The Argentinians have now managed just two victories in their last seven matches across all competitions. They now face a Penarol side that were most recently beaten 2-1 by Boston River to end a six-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions.

Penarol will be frustrated to have not yet put the game beyond Racing but, even playing away from home, the Uruguayans would have to remain slight favourites for this one.
