Qatar vs Bahrain prediction

Qatar are in Group A of the repechage in Asian qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The Qataris, coached by former Espanyol boss Luis Garcia, most recently suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lebanon in a non-FIFA recognised friendly at the Khalifa International Stadium in late-August.

They now face a Bahrain side that missed out on progression into the fourth round of qualification, finishing rock-bottom in Group C of the third round. Bahrain managed just one victory in their ten matches, finishing three points behind China and six off Indonesia in fourth.

Bahrain have shown themselves to be capable of being competitive, but Qatar would have to be viewed as the firm favourites for this friendly, especially with their home advantage.
