Qarabag vs Lyon Prediction
Qarabag picked up an invaluable win last time out in the Europa League as they beat Bodo Glimt 2-1 in Norway. That kept their hopes of progressing alive as they had lost their first three matches to Tottenham, Malmo and Ajax.
They have been in outstanding form in the Azeri league winning nine and drawing one of their last ten as they sit top of the table by a point.
They will now welcome Lyon to the Azeri capital confident of getting a positive result.
Lyon’s form in Europe has been pretty good and they were helped by wins in their opening two matches against Olympiacos and Rangers. They subsequently lost to Besiktas and then drew with Hoffenheim so they will want to get back on track here.
Their form in France has been solid rather than spectacular drawing three of their last four matches but they are unbeaten in seven in the league.
Lyon will be pretty pleased if they come away from this tough and lengthy away trip with a point. The hosts will likely be just as pleased too to get another point on the board and we can see this being a stalemate.
