As mentioned, it was an entertaining first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie as Puskas Akademia suffered a topsy turvy 3-2 defeat to Aris Limassol at the Alphamega Stadium last week in Cyprus.
In that game, Jaden Montnor gave Aris a sixth minute lead before they raced into a 2-0 lead about ten minutes later, courtesy of a penalty scored by Georgia international Giorgi Kvilitaia. Puskas Akademia then sprung into life deep into the second-half, courtesy of a quick-fire brace scored by Lamin Colley, but then Aris Limassol restored their advantage with an 87th minute winner scored by Edi Semedo.
Puskas Akademia didn’t create loads of chances against Aris Limassol, but they were able to dominate the ball last week, and this should be another fun, close contest.
