Preston vs Burnley Prediction

Paul Heckingbottom has done a very good job at Preston North End since being appointed early on in the season and the Whites are, as ever, firmly in the middle of the Championship table ahead of facing automatic promotion chasing Burnley at Deepdale this weekend.

The home team come into this one on the back of a fairly dodgy run of form, though. They most recently suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Frank Lampard’s surging Coventry City last weekend to mean they have now managed just one victory inside 90 minutes in their last six matches across all competitions.

Burnley have been bizarre. They are a good side and seem destined for promotion despite having scored just 43 goals in 34 Championship games; 18 of which have come in just four matches. However, with James Trafford in goal and Scott Parker’s impressive defensive management, the Clarets have conceded just nine goals, astonishingly.

Preston are among the lowest scorers in the second-tier and Burnley simply, basically, don’t concede and a low-scoring away win is to be expected at Deepdale this weekend.

Preston vs Burnley Tip: Burnley to win & under 3.5 goals
