Portsmouth vs Hull prediction

Portsmouth won League One last season and the hosts have fought hard in the Championship this season under the management of John Mousinho. Pompey enjoyed massive victories over the Easter weekend with wins against Norwich City and Watford to mean they head into the final day of the campaign completely safe of the drop.

They now face a Hull City side that begin the 46th match day of the 2024/25 Championship season sitting in the bottom three and the relegation places, despite the Tigers’ overall improvement under Ruben Selles. They sank into the danger zone due to a 1-0 loss to Derby County at home last weekend.

Pompey’s supporters will be having a survival party and that atmosphere is not the best situation for Hull to go into when needing three points and Hull going down on the south coast does seem likely.
