Portsmouth come into this one on the back of a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Bristol City on New Year’s Day. John Mousinho is under a little bit of pressure, too, as Pompey hover just above the bottom three and the relegation places in the Championship after a tough couple of months.
Arsenal have spent a lot of money to try and compete on multiple fronts, and that is what they are doing well in the Premier League, as well as the UEFA Champions League and the EFL Cup. The Gunners may see this as quite low down on the list of priorities but the Gunners will be greedy for all types of silverware this season.
