Port Vale vs Fleetwood prediction

Following their promotion to League One last season, Port Vale have struggled badly thus far as they remain rock-bottom and ten points adrift of safety. However, now Jon Brady's Valiants began the calendar year with a come from behind 5-1 demolition of Blackpool at Vale Park on New Year’s Day.

They now face a Fleetwood Town side that sit firmly in the middle of League Two with nine victories, seven draws and eight defeats. They aren’t too far away from the top seven and the playoff places but the Cod Army will be quite frustrated given a strong start and quite a lot of quality depth in the final third.

Fleetwood will head to Stoke absolutely believing they can at least score against a Vale side that may well be focused more on league matters, rather than the cup.
