Polissya vs Paksi prediction

Polissya Zhytomyr come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Karpaty Lviv to kick off their 2025/26 Ukrainian Premier League campaign at the weekend. The Ukrainians managed to come from behind to defeat Andorran side FC Santa Coloma in the second qualifying round of this competition last week.

This match is being played in the neutral venue of the Futbal Tatran Arena in Presov in Slovakia this week, as a result of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Paksi were knocked out of this season’s UEFA Europa League by CFR Cluj before managing to edge past Maribor in this competition over the last couple of weeks.

Paksi will believe they can take the game to Polissya in neutral territory this week, and that should lead to quite an open affair for this first-leg in Slovakia.

Polissya vs Paksi tip: Both teams to score
