Poland head into the June international break with a clash against an improving Moldova side that humiliated the Polish in UEFA EURO 2024 qualification a couple of years ago.

Poland vs Moldova prediction

Robert Lewandowski, having recovered from a hamstring injury late in the season for Barcelona, has sat out of this international break for Michal Probierz’ Poland. They began their European qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a couple of unconvincing, albeit solid, victories against Lithuania and then Malta in Warsaw.

Moldova produced an impressive UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying campaign, in which they defeated Poland by three goals to two in Chisinau. That will make it even more frustrating that the Moldovans began their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group with a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Norway before a 3-2 loss at home to Estonia.

Poland are firm favourites for this friendly but they aren’t a good side and, without Lewandowski, they lack goals so a low-scoring home win in Chorzow seems a good bet.

Poland vs Moldova tip: Poland to win & under 3.5 goals
