Pakistan were outclassed by Thailand in their opening ASEAN Cup match, losing by four goals to nil. Whilst the Philippines put up far more of a fight against Vietnam, they also fell to defeat with a single goal the margin. That sets up what is a must-win game for both here. Pakistan were defensively so poor that there is legitimate cause for concern there.
Philippines should deploy a far more attacking play this time around compared to the first round of group matches and when considering what we saw from Pakistan last time out, it bodes well for the Philippines’ attack. Rather than backing an outright winner, consider backing both teams to score in what is likely to be an end-to-end battle.
