The Philadelphia Union come into this one on the back of a continuation of their very poor start to the 2026 Major League Soccer season with a 1-0 loss at home to San Diego ensuring that they have suffered three defeats from three in the Eastern Conference.
Mexican giants Club America most recently produced a dramatic 2-1 victory away from home against Queretaro to ensure that they squeeze back into the top eight of the 2025/26 Liga MX Clausura after ten matches of the campaign.
