Penrith Panthers vs Melbourne Storm prediction
The Melbourne Storm were at their clinical best last week with a 22-2 victory against the Brisbane Broncos. Once again, they are timing their run nicely as finals approach and a top four spot now looks assured.
The Penrith Panthers have hit their straps after an early season slumber where they looked anything but four-time defending premiers. Last week they defeated the Newcastle Knights 48-12 getting contributions from all over their back line in a well-balanced attacking effort.
With matches against the Storm, Raiders and Bulldogs in the next three weeks the premiers will get a stern test of their credentials as they head into another finals series.
The Storm have gone about their business in typically professional fashion, sitting inside the top four the entire season and looking every inch a contender to the Panthers' crown.
After the shock of losing star half Jahrome Hughes to a shoulder injury in Round 21 they have regrouped to win their next two matches and continue building momentum towards September.
This has match of the season written all over it and begins what shapes as one of the best overall rounds of the season. There are other matches we like more later in the weekend so sit back and enjoy what should be a fantastic contest.
