Penrith Panthers vs Brisbane Broncos prediction

The Penrith Panthers enter magic ground in very unfamiliar territory. They currently sit in last place on the ladder and the four-time premiers have only shown glimpses of the powerhouse team that we have come to expect over the past five years.

A strong win over the Roosters a fortnight ago appeared to indicate a turnaround, however another loss at their temporary home in Parramatta last week against the Eagles has put the Panthers in real danger of missing the playoffs altogether unless they can turn around the alarming form slump quickly. With the state of origin period looming wins now take on extra importance.

The Brisbane Broncos were irresistible in the first half against the previously undefeated Bulldogs pouring on 34 unanswered points in less-than-ideal conditions. This was off the back of close defeat to the Warriors and a surprising defeat at home against the Roosters. This Broncos team has looked unbeatable at times and at other times they have looked only average.

The Panthers have won eight of the past nine matches between the two sides, including a tight 14-6 win in Brisbane last season. With the Broncos currently playing with an air of confidence we think they can get the job done in this one.
