Penarol vs Racing prediction
Penarol come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering of Nacional in the Clausura in the Uruguayan Primera Division. They have started their Clausura campaign with back-to-back victories. They managed to finish second in Group H, only finishing below Velez Sarsfield on goal difference in the group stages.
They now face a Racing Club side that finished five points clear of a poor Fortaleza side in a poor Group E in the Libertadores, which consisted of Atletico Bucaramanga and Colo-Colo. They most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Boca Juniors at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires at the weekend.
These are two seemingly evenly matched sides and it is expected to be a close contest, and perhaps likely a low-scoring encounter as well with the second-leg decisive.
