A much-needed boost for the Dolphins with forwards Felise Kaufusi (knee) and Kurt Donoghoe (ankle) back in the starting side. Parramatta Eels vs Dolphins prediction

The Parramatta Eels went down 28-18 against the Cronulla Sharks. They made a surge midway through the second half but a late try to Cronulla leaves Parramatta with just the two wins from eight matches on the season thus far.

The Dolphins were disappointing in their Magic round defeat at the hands of the Sydney Roosters. They trailed only 14-8 at half-time however 18 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half sealed their fate and their three-game winning streak has now been followed up with two heavy losses.

The two sides have split their only two meetings; the Eels came out on top 48-20 in their first ever clash while the Dolphins extracted revenge last year with a 44-16 lesson in Darwin.

The Eels haven’t been as successful at their CommBank Stadium home as in year’s past. They have seven wins against eight defeats since the beginning of last year. They have won their past two home matches however after losing their first two this season.

Neither side has shown significant enough improvement defensively to suggest a low scoring affair so we think the total points over is the right play here.

Parramatta Eels vs Dolphins tip: Total match points over 47.5
