Since a 36-12 victory over Huddersfield Giants back in mid-June, Hull FC have gone on to lose their last five matches at home, a run which has been the main factor as to why they are now firmly out of contention for the play-offs. Their opponents however, are still in with an outside chance of the League Leaders Shield and can close the gap between themselves and the top two down to just two points.
Sam Burgess’ men are ending the regular season strongly, winning their last five and have been ruthlessly efficient in dealing with subpar opposition, whether it be Bradford Bulls, York Knights or Huddersfield Giants. They are worth backing to do exactly the same to Hull FC, especially when you factor in the awful home record of their opponents.
