Parma preview: Solid couple of months
Last season, Parma managed to steer themselves clear of the bottom three and the relegation places with Cristian Chivu at the helm but his departure for Internazionale saw Mikel Arteta’s former assistant coach Carlos Cuesta replace him in Parma.

Internazionale begin their 18th match day of the 2025/26 Serie A season sitting a point clear of Derby della Madonnina rivals at the top-of-the-table, with Cristian Chivu finding his feet at San Siro as the season has gone on throughout the campaign.
The Nerazzurri eased to an impressive 3-1 defeat of Bologna at San Siro at the weekend with goals from Piotr Zielinski, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, extending their winning streak in Serie A to five matches since a derby day loss to Milan.

Adrian Benedyczak had worked his way back to full fitness for this one but he is now a doubt once again, while Zion Suzuki, Abdoulaye Ndiaye and Matija Frigan are confirmed absentees.

Carlos Cuesta is similar in his management style to that of Mikel Arteta with an intensity required from his players, with that intensity especially shown in the emphasis on ‘duels’ between individual players. They take on an Inter side that may be concerned about being rocked by that, especially as they have struggled in bigger games against teams that get at them a little more, but the sheer gap in quality should produce an away win.
