Parma preview: Struggling Parma

Over the summer, Parma lost manager Cristian Chivu to his former playing club Internazionale and he was replaced by Mikel Arteta’s former assistant coach Carlos Cuesta, as they seek to again simply avoid relegation.

The Emilio-Romagna-based outfit have won just one of their opening seven matches in Serie A so far this season, most recently sharing a goalless draw against Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris last weekend.

Como preview: Cesc’s Como

Cesc Fabregas has done an extremely impressive job at Como and another heavy summer of spending has led to their expectations being to push for a top seven or eight finish and European qualification.

They have started the season very well and now come into this one on the back of an impressive 2-0 defeat of Juventus at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia last weekend, courtesy of goals from Marc-Oliver Kempf and Nico Paz.

Parma team news: Ndiaye suspended

Parma defender Abdoulaye Ndiaye is missing through suspension for this weekend, with key injuries, too, to Gaetano Oristanio and Jacob Ondrejka.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Suzuki; Del Prato, Circati, Valenti; Britschgi, Adrian Bernabe, Keita, Nahuel Estevez, Almqvist; Cutrone, Mateo Pellegrino

Como team news: Jesus Rodriguez out

Former Real Betis winger Jesus Rodriguez remains unavailable due to suspension. They also have a few key injury issues, too, such as Alberto Dossena, Sergi Roberto and Jayden Addai.

Predicted XI (3-5-1-1): Butez; Smolcic, Diego Carlos, Kempf; Vojvoda, Da Cunha, Maximo Perrone, Caqueret, Alberto Moreno; Nico Paz; Alvaro Morata

Unavailable: Dossena (Injured), Sergi Roberto (Injured), Jesus Rodriguez (Suspended), Addai (Injured)

Parma vs Como prediction

Parma play quite a defensive style of football, which is typical of Carlos Cuesta. Carlos Cuesta was Mikel Arteta’s assistant coach and he plays a reactive style of football, as to be expected. They face a Como side that will try and dictate the play and control the opposition. Como head to the Ennio Tardini looking to continue their excellent form and they would be expected to at least avoid defeat against Parma.

Parma vs Como tip: Double chance – Como to win or draw
