Paris Saint-Germain preview: Hard work for PSG
Paris Saint-Germain come into this on the back of a 1-0 victory over Nice at the Parc des Princes at the weekend, courtesy of a second-half stoppage-time winner scored by Portugal international striker Goncalo Ramos.
PSG won the treble for the first time ever last season and they begin this week once again sitting just about at the top-of-the-table in France after a frustrating few weeks in which their form has been rocky and inconsistent.
Bayern Munich preview: Bavarian brilliance
Bayern Munich have been absolutely brilliant at the start of this season and even with heavy rotation, the Bavarians continued their excellent form at the weekend as they hammered Bayer Leverkusen by three goals to nil at the Allianz Arena.
That victory means that Vincent Kompany’s side have now won 15 from 15 across all competitions, including victories in the UEFA Champions League against Chelsea, Pafos and Club Brugge.
Paris Saint-Germain team news: Zabarnyi suspended
Having been sent off against Bayer Leverkusen, Illya Zabarnyi is now missing through suspension with France attacking midfielder Desire Doue sidelined through injury.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola
Unavailable: Zabarnyi (Suspended), Doue (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich prediction
We have two of the giants of European football facing off. PSG have not been at their absolute best but they remain the defending European champions and a serious force, especially in this competition, as shown with a win away to Barcelona last month. Bayern, on the other hand, are on a 15-match winning streak that has seen them emerge as real contenders – albeit the gambler’s fallacy would be to suggest that streak has to come to an end at some point and away at the European champions would seem the likeliest time for it.
