Paris FC vs OH Leuven prediction
Paris FC return to the UEFA Women's Champions League after a one-season absence, having finished third in their group in their last appearance in 2023-24.
The French side, who lost their most recent league game to Nantes (3-1), reached the league phase after coming through qualifying, defeating Austria Wien 2-0 on aggregate in the third qualifying round. Club captain Clara Mateo grabbed both of their goals in the second leg, and the French international will surely be key to their hopes of progressing to the knockout rounds.
OH Leuven won the Belgian Women's Super League title for the first time last season, and that qualified them for European competition for the first time in their history. In qualifying for the league phase, they overcame, SFK 2000 Sarajevo, Rosengard and Vorskla Poltava to reach the Women's Champions League proper.
This league phase will very much be a learning curve for the Belgian side, and Paris FC are simply more experienced at this level. Expect the French hosts to record a comfortable win in this opener.
