PAOK vs FCSB Prediction

Under the management of former Rapid Bucharest coach Razvan Lucescu, PAOK sit fourth in Greece’s top-flight after winning the title last season and they could do with rebuilding now.

Nicknamed the ‘Double-headed eagle of the North’, PAOK come into this one on the back of a much-needed 5-0 demolition of OFI in Crete at the weekend. That came after back-to-back defeats, though, and they have been very inconsistent with four victories, two draws and five defeats in their previous 11 matches across all competitions.

They now face an FCSB side that defeated Sepsi by three goals to nil at the weekend to maintain second spot in the Romanian SuperLiga, sitting behind CFR Cluj on goal difference. They have suffered just one defeat, a 2-0 loss at home to Manchester United, in the six matches that they have played in all competitions in this calendar year.

FCSB have built their relative success and rebuild to get to this stage on a tight defensive unit so they will be expected to once again be defensive in this first-leg, whilst PAOK lack fluency and form so a low-scoring affair seems likely for this one.

PAOK vs FCSB Tip: Under 2.5 goals
