Panathinaikos vs Vikingur Prediction

Greek giants Panathinaikos stumbled through the league phase with a good run of form to finish their campaign but they have already been pegged back here, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Vikingur Reykjavik in the Icelandic capital last week.

Panathinaikos have since defeated Volos by two goals to one to remain third in the Greek Super League, sitting five points behind Olympiakos at the top-of-the-table. They have a squad full of pedigree and will need to outscore their opponents, with a reliance placed upon the shoulders of Greece international striker Fotis Ioannidis.

Vikingur Reykjavik, under the management of former Iceland international Solvi Ottesen, are actually now only in their second game of that tenure. Their defeat of Panathinaikos last week came courtesy of goals from David Orn Atlason and Matthias Vihjalmsson and was their first competitive match since mid-December.

There will be a belief in Athens that Panathinaikos only struggled due to the conditions and a home win, in what could be another entertaining game, is now expected for this one.

Panathinaikos vs Vikingur Tip: Panathinaikos to win & over 2.5 goals
