Panathinaikos vs Shakhtar Donetsk prediction

Panathinaikos were beaten by Rangers in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League last week. The Greeks were beaten 2-0 by the Scottish giants at Ibrox in the first-leg of that tie, before then being held to a 1-1 draw at the Olympic Stadium in the Greek capital. They reached the round of 16 stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

After annihilating Finnish side Ilves Tampere by six goals to nil on aggregate in the first qualifying round, Shakhtar Donetsk then managed to comfortably see off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Besiktas in the second qualifying round with a 6-2 aggregate victory.

Shakhtar Donetsk underperformed last season and this should present quite a fun watch for the neutral, with both teams scoring seeming a good bet for this one in Greece.
