Panathinaikos vs Rangers prediction

In the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie, Rangers defeated Panathinaikos by two goals to nil at Ibrox in Glasgow. In that game, which was Russell Martin’s first competitive match as the Bears’ boss, Rangers earned themselves a 2-0 victory against the Greek giants, courtesy of second-half strikes from Findlay Curtis and new £2 million signing Djeidi Gassama.

Panathinaikos will believe that their home advantage in Greece will give themselves a massive chance of clawing their way back into what is a seemingly evenly matched tie, and it is a massive test early on for Martin with Rangers.

Rangers have to be viewed as favourites, albeit the second-leg is a tough test and it should be an entertaining and intriguing encounter for the neutral this midweek.

Panathinaikos vs Rangers tip: Both teams to score
