Panathinaikos started their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign badly but eventually squeezed through in the top 24, and that sort of pattern was represented in their knockout playoff tie, too, as they face a Fiorentina side that have collapsed since Christmas.

That aforementioned UEFA Europa Conference League knockout playoff round tie last month, Panathinaikos lost 2-1 in the first-leg to Vikingur Reykjavik in Iceland before dramatically overturning that deficit with a 2-0 win in the second-leg, the second goal coming deep into second-half stoppage-time via Brazilian winger Tete.
