Palmeiras vs Universitario prediction

In the first-leg of this 2025 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores round of 16 tie, Palmeiras hammered Universitario by four goals to nil at Estadio Monumental “U” in Peru. Gustavo Gomez put Palmeiras ahead after seven minutes before Jose Manuel Lopez made it 2-0 and Vitor Roque three before-half time, with Juan Manuel Lopez completing the rout mid-way through the second-half.

Palmeiras reached the semi-finals of this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup and, under the management of Abel Ferreira, have established themselves as one of the very best teams on the South American continent.

Universitario will go to Brazil probably seeking to enjoy a performance of damage limitation, but that shouldn’t prevent Palmeiras from racking up another heavy win.

Palmeiras vs Universitario tip: Palmeiras to win -1 handicap
