Palmeiras vs LDU Quito prediction

In the first-leg of this tie last week, Ecuadorian champions LDU Quito managed to ease past Brazilian giants Palmeiras by three goals to nil at Estadio de Liga Deportiva Universitaria, courtesy of a first-half brace from Gabriel Villamil as well as a first-half strike scored by Lisandro Joel Alzugaray. His fellow striker, Bryan Ramirez, was then sent off in second-half stoppage-time in that clash.

Palmeiras have been probably, overall, been the strongest side in South America in recent years but they face elimination this week if LDU Quito can head to Brazil and ensure they remain tight and difficult to play against for the Brazilians.

With their home advantage, Palmeiras will be expected to come out on top here and they will need to force the issue, too, but that may not be enough to overturn the deficit.
