Pakistan vs Australia prediction

Australia will need to adapt quickly to conditions in Pakistan if they are to get off to a good start in this series. It doesn’t help that the Aussies have named a weakened squad, which is missing the likes of Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh along with their entire first-choice fast bowling arsenal of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins. Josh Inglis will captain the team. For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan has been left out of the squad as the hosts prioritise other players.

Despite not having Rizwan, Pakistan should have more than enough batting quality to tuck into this second-string Australian bowling attack and on what should be an excellent pitch for batting in Rawalpindi, a high-scoring encounter is expected. This favours the home side, who should be backed to come out on top in game one.

Pakistan vs Australia tip: Pakistan to win
