This all-Cypriot affair was always expected to be evenly matched and that showed last week in the capital city as Omonia Nicosia shared a 1-1 draw with Pafos in a delicately poised clash.

Pafos vs Omonia Nicosia Prediction

At the GSP Stadium last week in the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League knockout playoff round tie, Omonia Nicosia took a 51st minute lead via a Willy Semedo penalty before Croatia international Mislav Orsic equalised late on for Pafos.

The home team have experienced a lot of investment in the last few years and, as well as Orsic, boast some recognisable names such as Domingos Quina, Ken Sema, Jonathan Silva and Ivan Sunjic. They are currently sitting at the top-of-the-table in the Cypriot top-flight, six points above Aris Limassol.

Omonia Nicosia, on the other hand, are currently sitting third and ten points behind Pafos domestically. The capital city club defeated Omonia Aradippou by three goals to one at the weekend to mean they are now unbeaten in their last nine matches across all competitions since losing to Anorthosis Famagusta last month.

The league table would suggest Pafos, especially with their home advantage, are favourites for this one but it should well be an entertaining encounter between two evenly matched sides.

Pafos vs Omonia Nicosia Tip: Pafos to win & both teams to score
