Omonia vs Mainz prediction

Omonia Nicosia made it through the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season before losing to compatriots Pafos in the knockout playoff round. They made it through to this season’s league phase with victories over Torpedo Kutaisi, Araz-Naxcivan and then Wolfsberger.

Mainz, under the management of highly-rated coach Bo Henriksen, managed to surprise everyone by finishing sixth in the Bundesliga last season. It has been an underwhelming start to this season, but their focus should almost entirely be on a fifth ever European campaign.

Omonia will believe they can attack quite well with their home advantage at the GSP Stadium, but Mainz have a lot of quality, and should still expect to come out on top.
