Oman vs Jordan prediction

The Omani national team begin the ninth match day of the third round sitting fourth in Group B, but they are just three points behind the top two and the automatic promotion spots, which are currently occupied by Jordan, as well as unbeaten South Korea.

Oman, under the management of Rashid Jaber, come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Lebanon in a friendly last week to back up a 4-1 demolition of a Niger ‘A’ side a week before that. They now face a Jordanian side that were beaten 2-0 by Saudi Arabia at the weekend in a friendly but they are now unbeaten in their last five qualifying games, most recently sharing a 1-1 draw with the Koreans in March.

Oman have been stubborn but perhaps fortunate to look like they’ll make it into the fourth round of AFC qualification and Jordan, pushing for their first ever FIFA World Cup, have to be seen as favourites for what is a crucial clash.
