Coached by former Sevilla boss Jose Luis Mendilibar, Olympiacos have proven themselves more than capable in European competition, having won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2024 under his tutelage.
The Greeks come into this one on the back of a 2-1 victory over Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek Super League. They began this competition with a goalless draw against Pafos before losing to Arsenal and then being hammered by Barcelona.
PSV Eindhoven preview: Entertaining PSV
With former Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Bosz at the helm, PSV Eindhoven have been one of the more entertaining teams to watch in European football and that has continued this season.
It was especially the case in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League a couple of weeks ago as they defeated Italian champions Napoli by six goals to two at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven.
Olympiacos team news: Hezze suspended
The hosts have no fresh injury concerns for this week’s visit to PSV. Argentina youth international Santiago Hezze is missing through suspension, though, and is sidelined.

Greek champions Olympiacos have proven themselves to be more competitive in both the UEFA Europa League, as well as the UECL. They can be difficult to play against and slick on the counter-attack with Mendilibar’s methods. They face a PSV side that will likely exploit that can be provided in transition and it should be a reasonably entertaining watch for the neutral.
