Whilst Nigeria are historically strong at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, regularly making it through to the round of 16, Norway have never qualified from their group, falling at the first hurdle three times previously, most recently in 2019. The last edition of this tournament saw the young Super Eagles reach the quarter-finals, beating Argentina on the way before losing to South Korea after extra time.
