Key stats

  • North Macedonia have lost only two of their last 17 World Cup qualifying matches (W9 D6). They are unbeaten in six (W3 D3).
  • North Macedonia have lost only one of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches at home (W4 D5).
  • North Macedonia have not conceded a goal in their last three World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Kazakhstan are aiming to win successive matches in European World Cup qualifying for the first time.

North Macedonia vs Kazakhstan prediction

North Macedonia come into this one on the back of holding a faltering Belgium side to a goalless draw in Brussels the other day. The North Macedonians were very impressive and have been improving for a while, with a fair bit of enterprise to their game, too. They could take advantage of a tough game for Belgium in Wales on Monday.

Kazakhstan have been declining for the last 18 months or so since a rapid but still quite low peak. The Kazakhs have struggled since relegation from League B of the UEFA Nations League last autumn but did manage to dispatch of a poor Liechtenstein side by four goals to nil the other day.

Kazakhstan aren’t much of a threat for anyone these days and North Macedonia should continue their strong campaign with another victory in this one.
