Derby de la Cote d'Azur takes place on a Sunday afternoon, unusually enough, this time around as Nice welcome Monaco to the Allianz Riviera.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – beIN Sports

How to watch online: UK – Ligue 1+ / US – beIN Sports Connect

Nice preview: Showing fight

Despite the neglect from ownership group INEOS, Nice have performed well in recent weeks as they push themselves away from the danger zone in Ligue 1. They also reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France in midweek, too.

That was achieved by a dramatic come from behind 3-2 defeat of Montpellier Herault at the Allianz Riviera the other day, backing up some good performances of late against Stade Brest, Nantes and the Go Ahead Eagles.

Monaco preview: Slight Improvement

Sebastian Pocogonoli departed Belgian champions Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in October to replace Adi Hutter in charge of Monaco and the former Brighton and Hove Albion left-back has endured a miserable time of it in the principality thus far.

That said, with performances showing signs of improvement, the Monegasque did manage to surprisingly hammer Stade Rennais by four goals to nil last weekend before a Coupe de France defeat to Strasbourg the other day.

Nice team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns for Nice to deal with as defensive trio Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Moise Bombito remain unavailable with Melvin Bard also a doubt.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Dupe; Clauss, Dante, Peprah Oppong, Abdi; Vanhoutte, Abdul Samed; Cho, Sanson, Diop; Wahi

Unavailable: Ndayishimiye (Injured), Abdelmonem (Injured), Moise Bombito (Injured)

Questionable: Bard (Injured)

Monaco team news: Injury crisis

Ansu Fati is the latest to get involved in the Monaco injury crisis with the Barcelona loanee a doubt for this one, with Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier and Paul Pogba among the confirmed absentees.

Predicted XI (4-2-2-2): Kohn; Vanderson, Kehrer, Faes, Caio Henrique; Camara, Zakaria; Akliouche, Golovin; Balogun, Biereth

Unavailable: Hradecky (Injured), Salisu (Injured), Dier (Injured), Ouattara (Injured), Cabral (Injured), Pogba (Injured), Minamino (Injured)

Questionable: Faes (Injured), Mawissa (Injured), Ansu Fati (Injured)

Nice vs Monaco prediction

Last weekend, Monaco appeared to have finally turned that corner that they were threatening to do previously but the midweek was a stark reminder of how far they have regressed. Nice are in a similar boat with little consistency and little quality on a regular basis being shown - yet both can often be chaotic and entertaining for the neutral and so that is to be expected down on French Riviera.

Nice vs Monaco tip: Both teams so score.
