Long-term injury absentee Morgan Sanson, formerly of Aston Villa, is edging closer to a return to full fitness for Nice but the hosts do remain without Tottenham Hotspur’s club record signing Tanguy Ndombele as he deals with a groin injury.

Unavailable: Ndombele (Injured), Moffi (Injured)

Questionable: Sanson (Injured)

Auxerre Team News: A few injuries

As they make the trip down to the south coast, Auxerre are dealing with a few injury absentees as former Salernitana forward Lasso Coulibaly is sidelined alongside the likes of Theo Pellenard, Nathan Buayi-Kiala and Aristide Zossou.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leon; Osho, Jubal, Akpa; Hoever, Danois, Owusu, Mensah; Perrin, Traore; Bair

Nice vs Auxerre Prediction

Nice, very frustratingly, come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat at home to Olympique Lyonnais at the Allianz Riviera last weekend. The southerners do remain inside the top three ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures. They now face an Auxerre side that most recently defeated struggling Stade de Reims by two goals to nil away from home at Stade Auguste-Delaune II last weekend thanks to first-half strikes from Theo Bair and Hamed Junior Traore. Auxerre will look to take confidence down to a Nice side reeling from defeat so whilst Franck Haise’s side remain favourites, especially with their home advantage, it could end up being quite an intriguing watch for the neutral.

Nice vs Auxerre Tip: Nice to win & both teams to score
