Both these two teams come into this match extremely motivated for different reasons. Following a desperately disappointing 1-0 defeat in the ‘Tyne-Wear Derby’ against Sunderland, Newcastle are aiming to restore some confidence and belief among the fanbase and continue their quest to retain the League Cup which they won last season.
But Fulham have always done well in cup competitions under Marco Silva, going deep but without managing to make it all the way to the end.
