Newcastle Knights vs Gold Coast Titans prediction

The Newcastle Knights finally found some rhythm with their attacking game putting 30 on the board while conceding just one try against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. This was in fact comfortably their highest scoring game of the season and while their defence has been strong all season this was the first sign of real flow with their red zone attack.

The Gold Coast Titan season continues to slide following their sixth consecutive loss, this time to the Bulldogs, on the weekend. They have conceded an average of just over 31 points per match and head coach Des Hasler has his hands tied with his star edge player. With the talented half Campbell back this week it will take every bit of his “A” game and more to turn things around for the Titans against the stout Knight defensive line.

Every game is crucial in a season but none more so than the matches leading into the origin period which can will see teams without their star players for several matches. The sense of urgency is not lost on the Knights who will most likely lose Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best from a backline that found some space to operate in last week.

We think they can use last week as a launchpad for another victory this week and cover the handicap points.
