New Zealand Warriors vs North Queensland Cowboys prediction

The New Zealand Warriors take on the North Queensland Cowboys in the feature match of Magic Round’s Saturday night triple header.

The Warriors have won five of their past six matches with only a slip up to the red-hot Storm in Melbourne. Last week they accounted for the Newcastle Knights easily at home on Anzac Day.

The Cowboys have won four successive games including wins over the Canberra Raiders and the Penrith Panthers before last week dismantling of the Gold Coast Titans 50-18 after trailing 18-6 after 30 minutes.

The pressure on Cowboys head coach Todd Payten has eased considerably with the club’s recent success and their play on the field is reflective of a confident team prepared to throw the football around and attack from any part of the field.

The Warriors lead the overall head-to-head series winning 26 of 48 matches between the two sides. In recent times the Warriors have won three straight including a convincing 42-12 result in Townsville last year.

This match has all the makings of a shootout and we like the over total match points in this one.

New Zealand Warriors vs North Queensland Cowboys tip: Total match points over 47.5
