New Zealand vs France prediction

New Zealand's 11-year winning streak at the Women's Rugby World Cup finally came to an end last weekend when they fell to a 34-19 defeat to Canada in the semi-finals.

The Black Ferns - six-time world champions and chasing a third straight this year - were undone by a tactical masterclass from their opponents, and they now have to dust themselves down to clinch third place.

France once again fell short at the semi-final stage, losing 35-17 to hosts England in Bristol. Behind by just two points at the break, England stepped on the gas in the second half and were too strong for a French side who were seeking their first final.

These two sides served up a thrilling semi-final in Auckland three years ago, New Zealand edging the contest 25-24 on their way to another world crown. Indeed, the Black Ferns have won all four previous Women's World Cup meetings between the two nations. History is on their side and we're tipping them to edge a close contest in Twickenham.
