New Zealand vs Australia prediction
The 2026 Constellation Cup begins in Auckland as Australia look to defend the crown they claimed in a tightly contested series last year, eventually winning in an extra-time decider after the series had ended 2-2.
New Zealand will fancy their chances of wrestling the cup back from their southern hemisphere rivals though, especially after claiming Commonwealth Games gold just a couple of months ago in Glasgow.
Interestingly, the two nations managed to avoid each other in that tournament, with Australia suffering a surprise semi-final exit at the hands of Jamaica.
The Diamonds will be eager to right that wrong by retaining the Constellation Cup, but they run into a confident New Zealand team who will back themselves to win this first game on home turf.
