New York City remain strong in the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer as they now welcome Necaxa to Harrison in the CONCACAF Leagues Cup.

New York City vs Necaxa prediction
NYCFC, sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference in MLS, started their CONCACAF Leagues Cup campaign with a 2-0 defeat of Santos Laguna before then succumbing to a 2-1 loss to a strong Cruz Azul side at the Sports Illustrated Stadium the other day.
Necaxa began the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura campaign with two victories and then a loss to Toluca. That loss to Toluca has since been followed by a couple of defeats in this competition against Chicago Fire and then the Philadelphia Union.
That 3-1 loss to Philly would suggest Necaxa are not too focused on the CONCACAF Leagues Cup and NYCFC would have to be viewed as firm favourites for this one.
