Key stats

  • The previous two U21 EURO final tournament matches between these teams were both in the 2006 edition. Ukraine won 2-1 in the group stage and the Netherlands recorded a 3-0 victory in the final.
  • The Netherlands have won only two of their last 12 U21 EURO final tournament matches (D6 L4).
  • Ukraine have won three of their last five U21 EURO group matches (D1 L1).
  • Ukraine have kept three clean sheets in their last five U21 EURO group matches.
  • Ukraine have opened the scoring in their previous two matches at the 2025 finals.

Netherlands vs Ukraine prediction

Netherlands have struggled significantly in this tournament down the years and 2025 looks like being another disappointing European Championships campaign for their u21s side. A 2-2 draw with Finland was followed up by a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Denmark, leaving Netherlands on the brink of group stage elimination.

Ukraine knows that a point would be enough for them to finish second-place in Group D and also know that if they maintain the cutting edge going forward that has seen them score twice in both their group games so far, then they will be well-placed and against a Dutch side who have conceded twice in two matches, that’s a big possibility. When taking this account, it’s going to be really hard for Netherlands to win and utilising the double chance market to back Ukraine could pay off handsomely.

Netherlands vs Ukraine tip: Double chance - draw/Ukraine
