Napoli vs Roma prediction

Napoli begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting third in the table on 49 points, three points ahead of a Roma side that are sat in fifth, just behind Juventus on goal difference.

Antonio Conte’s Neapolitans did stutter to a Coppa Italia quarter-final penalty shootout loss at home to Cesc Fabregas’ Como in midweek. However, in the league, back-to-back victories has restored some faith down in Naples.

Roma, on the other hand, head into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of a mid-table Cagliari side at the Stadio Olimpico last week, courtesy of a brace scored by Aston Villa loanee Donyell Malen.

The Romans have been much-improved under Gian Piero Gasperini this season but they have failed to find the fluency of a usually attacking Gasperini style and so, especially with Conte’s Napoli, a low-scoring clash appears likely on Sunday night.

Napoli vs Roma tip: Under 2.5 goals
